Online Counselling Across the UK

A confidential space to understand yourself, your relationships and the challenges life can bring.

Private, confidential counselling for adults seeking greater understanding of themselves, their relationships and the difficulties they may be facing.

There are times when life can feel difficult, even when everything appears perfectly manageable from the outside.

You may be experiencing anxiety, uncertainty, difficulties in your relationships, or a growing sense that something isn't quite right. Perhaps you are accustomed to being the person others rely upon, while finding it harder to acknowledge your own emotional needs.

I'm Thomas Fox, an integrative counsellor offering private online counselling to adults throughout the UK, and British citizens working overseas.

I provide a calm, confidential and thoughtful space in which we can explore what is happening in your life, understand what may lie beneath the surface, and begin to make sense of experiences that might otherwise be difficult to articulate.

Why Choose Online Counselling?

How Online Counselling Can Help

People seek counselling for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a particular event or difficulty. At other times, there may be a longstanding sense of dissatisfaction, anxiety or emotional disconnection.

You might be experiencing:

  • Anxiety, persistent worry or emotional overwhelm
  • Difficulties in relationships, intimacy or attachment
  • Loss, separation or significant changes in your life
  • Low self-esteem, self-doubt or feelings of inadequacy
  • Work-related stress, exhaustion or burnout
  • Repeating emotional or behavioural patterns that you would like to understand
  • A sense of emptiness, uncertainty or feeling disconnected from yourself

You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is troubling you. Part of our work together may involve discovering and understanding that.

Benefits of Online Counselling?

Online counselling lets you access professional therapeutic support without travelling to a consulting room.

Sessions take place through a private video connection, so you can attend from a comfortable, confidential space of your choosing.

For some people, this provides greater flexibility around work, family commitments or travel.  Others prefer the familiarity of their own surroundings.

The essential elements of counselling remain the same: an agreed therapeutic relationship, regular appointments, professional boundaries, confidentiality and a space dedicated to your emotional wellbeing.

I work with adults throughout the United Kingdom.

Counselling for Professionals and People in High-Pressure Roles

Alongside my broader counselling practice, I have particular experience of working within demanding, high-responsibility environments.

My background in the Armed Forces, corporate organisations and mental health has given me an appreciation of the emotional demands that can accompany responsibility, leadership and professional expectations.

People who are accustomed to appearing capable and composed may find it especially difficult to acknowledge vulnerability or ask for support.

In our sessions, however, you are not defined by your professional role, achievements or responsibilities.

The focus is on you, your personal experiences and what matters in your life.

Taking the First Step

Deciding to begin counselling can feel significant, particularly if you are accustomed to managing difficulties privately.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to say or what you hope to discover.

If you are considering counselling, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
