When you’re the person others rely on, it can feel risky to be fully honest anywhere. This work is designed for people in high-pressure roles who need a confidential, steady space to think clearly, feel honestly, and change what isn’t working.
In sessions, you don’t have to perform, stay “switched on”, or manage anyone else’s reaction. We can slow things down, reduce the mental noise of overthinking and decision fatigue, and make sense of the patterns that emerge under pressure—control, perfectionism, emotional shutdown, irritability, or constant responsibility.
Rather than quick fixes, we focus on deeper, lasting change: understanding what’s driving things beneath the surface and developing a calmer, more grounded way of relating to yourself and others.
The work is discreet and professional, with confidentiality taken seriously (and the usual safeguarding exceptions).
Over time, clients often notice clearer thinking, better sleep, steadier mood, healthier boundaries, and improved relationships — without feeling like they have to “push through” everything alone.
I’m Tom Fox, an integrative counsellor working with senior professionals and high-pressure roles. My approach blends psychodynamic and humanistic therapy — practical, grounded, and focused on lasting change, not quick fixes.
Clients often come to me when they look “fine” on the surface but feel tense, flat, overwhelmed, or stuck underneath. Together, we make sense of what’s driving the pattern, create space for honest reflection, and build steadier ways of coping and relating — at work and at home.
